Another new project
Kevin,
We are so happy with the patio and arbor in our back yard. It looks beautiful and is exactly what we wanted. Thanks for working with us through this process, charging us a fair rate and sticking to the terms of our contract. Even when we changed our minds about the arbor specs halfway through the project, you accommodated our requests, gave us a reasonable rate for the change in materials and assured us that all would be well….not only were you a professional throughout the project, but the contracted workers were great as well. The concrete guys were awesome, very conscientious in their work and happy to answer all of our questions. The carpenter was so polite, addressed all of our concerns quickly and professionally and even showed up at 7 am to finish the job on time!
Thanks again and we look forward to working with you laterthis spring on those planters in the front ard.
Sincerely Leonard and Tonya Rodriguez

Zoysia grass is the best grass for the Austin area. It takes 1/3 of the water and 1/3 of the maintenance that St Augustine grass does. It looks like a golf course and is weed and disease resistant. Enjoy a couple photos of installations we have done….
For those who don’t know Garden Company also offers top notch design work and rendering services for your projects. Please email for more information. Thanks!
We just finished up a beautiful outdoor kitchen and patio project on an ongoing project we are working on for a great customer and friend… enjoy. More photos to come
Just got a beautiful referral letter from a great customer who we think will be a long time friend of Garden Company…. love it…. THANKS ANDY!
Hey Kevin,
I wanted to formally thank you for the outstanding job you and your crew did on our patio. I really
appreciated the design aesthetic you brought to the project. It far exceeded the bare-bones, amateur
design my wife and I came up with. To be honest with you, none of the other contractors I interviewed
offered ANYTHING in the way of design beyond the basics of what I explained I was looking for. That
aspect alone made me feel like your goal was to deliver the BEST solution possible for my home.
Another key point that I really liked about your technique was the engineering approach. How you hand-
mixed and toweled the cement in sections to ensure that each flagstone had a deep base securing it. As
you explained, other approaches, like pouring a slab first, might be faster, but in those situations the
flagstones are sitting on only a thin 1/4 inch of cement or mortar. Clearly not as sturdy as your approach
where the flagstones are as deep as an inch or more.
As if the 2 points above weren’t enough to put me in the satisfied category, I know you went over and
above in so many ways. Such as:
1. Hand picking the pallets of stones from the stone yard. Then putting them on hold and giving
me a chance to look them over first.
2. Telling me that I can be as involved as I wanted to be, and saying you would provide frequent
updates as to the progress. And then actually doing it!
3. Discussing the drainage considerations so that I knew they were considered.
4. Discussing how the patio was going to coexist with the existing trees. Here your landscape
expertise once again separated you from the rest of the contractors.
5. Discussing and incorporating lighting in the patio. A wonderful addition that I hadn’t even
considered.
6. Discussing other hardscape features that I might want consider, and perhaps making some small
changes during construction that would enable me to keep my options open for future additions.
As I’m sure you recall, I expressed an interest in doing more lighting in the future. Your solution
was to lay conduit that allowed me to easily add lighting in the future at the far end of the patio.
Fantastic.
7. Finally, after you were paid, and everything was done, you checked in with me on more than one
occasion to ensure everything was fine. Pretty rare.
So, I know I’ve mentioned it before, but feel free and confident to use me as a reference. I have lived in
Austin for over 20 years; I have owned 7 houses, and have used numerous contractors over the years.
The experience I had with you was one of the best to date.
Thanks again, I’m sure we’ll be doing business again in the future.
